Services
Your Design
The design of your website will be based around the current designs of your company, club or group (logos, colour schemes, typefaces etc.). In discussion with you about this and your intended audience we will produce a design unique to your business or organisation. We use the latest design tools and concentrate on producing websites that are fast and functional. Clever use of design and content will also help your website feature higher up the rankings in the search engines.
Website Content
The content of your website (photographs, descriptions etc.) will need to be provided by you. We can advise on page layout and can edit the words as necessary to fit the design. We prefer the website copy to be provided in a "machine readable" form (eg a Word document, RTF file, text file etc). We can accept printed or hand written copy, but may make a charge for typing.
Photographs
Photographs and diagrams can be accepted in two forms. We prefer to receive digital images via email or sent on a disk. Alternatively, we can accept photographs or paper based illustrations. For large projects a charge may be made for scanning.
Similarly, we prefer to receive logos in a machine-readable digital form, but can also scan in paper copies.
Ownership and Copyright
The copyright of the website design remains with Weird Fruit Web Design. The copyright for the content of the website (the words and the pictures) remains with you. This simply means that you are free to use your website as you see fit, but you may not re-use, sell or copy the design for any other purpose. Similarly, we may not use your words or pictures on any of our other websites.
Once designed and up-and-running you are at liberty to modify it as you like. If you decide in the future that you need changes you have a number of alternatives. Firstly, we hope that you will be pleased with the work we have done and would want to come back to us for an upgrade (at the same reasonable prices). Secondly, you might want to pass the work to another designer. Or, maybe, you'll decide that you'd like to have a go at modifying the website yourself. Whatever you decide, the choice is yours. It's your website.
